INTRODUCTION & OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW
Area Development Scheme was created during the year 1989-90 under the control of Kohat Development Authority Kohat. Later on the Provincial Government divided Kohat Development Authority Kohat into two Authorities namely Kohat Development Authority Kohat & Karak Development Authority Karak vide notification no. AO/DCO/LCB/5-73/202 dated, 5/9/2003 on 5/4/2008.Karak Development Authority was created during the year 1989-90 under the control of Kohat Development Authority Kohat. Karak Development Authority is now working under the Administrative control of Secretary Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
